About this rate
This is CredGold's reference rate, updated every morning and used for all loan estimates on this site. It is not a buying or selling price — jewellers add GST and making charges, and the lender values your gold at its own rate at the branch. The 18K rate is calculated in proportion to 24K.
Gold rate and gold loans in your city
Gold prices move together across North India; small local differences come from jewellers' association rates and taxes. Our estimates use the same reference rate in every city we serve.

Questions, answered
What is the difference between 24K and 22K gold?
24K gold is about 99.9% pure and is mostly sold as coins and bars. 22K gold is about 91.6% pure — the rest is other metals that make it strong enough for jewellery — so its rate is roughly 22/24 of the 24K rate.
Why does the gold rate change every day?
Indian gold prices follow international gold prices, the rupee–dollar exchange rate, import duties and local demand. These move daily, so we update our reference rate every morning.
How much gold loan can I get per gram today?
At today's 22K rate of ₹11,240 per gram, you could get up to ₹9,554 per gram — 85% of the gold's value, the RBI limit for loans up to ₹2.5 lakh. For bigger loans the limit is 80% (₹2.5–5 lakh) and 75% (above ₹5 lakh).
Does the lender use this exact rate?
Not necessarily. The lender tests the purity and weight of your jewellery at the branch and applies its own rate on that day. Our rate gives you a close estimate before you go.
