How it works

How a gold loan works

From your first click to money in your bank account — and getting your gold back. Here's every step.

Four simple steps

  1. 1

    Apply online

Tell us your name, mobile number, city and roughly how much gold you have.

    • Takes about a minute
    • No documents needed yet
    • You get an application ID to track your request
  2. 2

    Get a callback

An advisor calls you in Hindi or English during working hours.

    • Explains the likely loan amount, rate and repayment options
    • Answers your questions
    • Tells you the nearest partner branch and what to bring
  3. 3

    Visit the branch

Take your gold and KYC documents to the lending partner's branch.

    • Your gold is weighed and tested in front of you
    • You get the loan agreement and Key Fact Statement with all charges — read them before signing
    • Your gold is sealed and stored in the lender's secure vault
  4. 4

    Receive funds

Once verified, the lender sends the money to your bank account.

    • Often on the same day
    • Amounts above ₹20,000 go to your bank account
    • Track your status online at any time

After you get the loan

  • Repay your way

Pay EMIs, pay interest monthly and the principal at the end, or as the lender's scheme allows. Bullet-repayment loans run for up to 12 months (RBI rule).

  • Prepay any time

You can usually repay early; check the lender's Key Fact Statement for any charges.

  • Get your gold back

Once you repay in full, the lender must return your gold within 7 working days (RBI rule), checked against the original record.

  • Renew if needed

Need more time? Ask the lender about renewing the loan at the end of the tenure.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the whole process take?

Applying takes a minute and our advisor usually calls the same working day. The branch visit takes about 30–60 minutes, and the lender often disburses the same day.

Do I have to visit the branch?

Yes. The gold must be weighed, tested and stored by the lender, so you visit once with your gold and KYC.

What happens if I can't repay on time?

Talk to the lender early — it may offer more time or a renewal. If a loan stays unpaid, the lender can auction the gold after giving you notice, as per RBI rules.

Can I take back part of my gold?

Some lenders allow part-release if you repay part of the loan. Ask the lender about its policy.
